The Second Line Jazz Band

THE SECOND LINE JAZZ BAND has been entertaining audiences since 1995. Over the years the band has performed for jazz society concerts, Roaring '20s parties, Mardi Gras parties, Brown Bag concerts, fancy catered parties, wedding receptions, Oh Yeah Day Festivals, July 4th patriotic concerts, grand openings, retirement centers, birthday parties, and even New Orleans style jazz funerals!

Trombonist Scott Bailey began been leading the band in 1997. Under Scott's leadership the band was a headliner at the Corpus Christi Jazz Fest in 1997, 1998, and 1999. The band often performs for private parties in San Antonio, and for many years was the house band at Papadeaux's on Loop 410 where they performed every Saturday night. Scott moved to Georgetown, Texas in 2009 andThe Second Line Jazz Band quickly became a popular choice for entertainment in the Austin/Georgetown area. Sadly, Scott passed away in November, 2013. Clarinetist Jim Ivy now leads the band.
